Not so sure. Its an optional tool.

AND I mfgr and sell them.

I have talked many new riders out of one of these.. My base suggestion is to
get that stethescope first, come back after a few rides.

ALL vet checks in SE/ and Region 5 NATRC and ECTRA.... YOU MUST turn 'OFF'
you HRM in the VET CHECK. Its the ONLY fair way.. No hassle of PR takers..

Dont put it in their face... IF you think it is wrong ASK for a re-check, or
ask the vet check Head PR person to take it again.. BE NICE about it .

I have never found the numbers to be wrong on the HRM ..but you never know
...
