In the Northeast we have ECTRA which started competitive driving 12
years ago. We have between 10 - 15 drives a year, most in
conjunction with a ride. In 1991, Vermont had the first 100 mile
drive, now there are two. The American Driving Society has been
interested in setting up rules nationally for distance driving and a
resurgence of interest has just come about. I am the driving chair
for ECTRA and affiliated with the ADS program so I will keep you
posted as to what might happen. If there is anyone else out there
interested in competitive trail driving, please e-mail me privately.
