Whoops, forgot to say that this is a 28" cinch.

Also, I took the covers off the stirrup leathers, cut the leathers
down (geez you'd have ta be 7' tall for all that length) then I
reversed the leathers so the buckles never bother me. When I say
reversed the leathers I basicly did what is currently becoming
popular with many dressage riders. Rearrange the stirrup leather so
the buckle is down by the stirrup, on the back side (away from your
ankle) with the tail or excess of the leather pointing upwards towards
the stirrup ring. This tail should be about 6-8". I use a short strap
(either nylon spur straps or the straps used on western saddles to go
around the stirrup straps) to buckle around the three layers of
stirrups leathers. I have plenty of holes left for a taller rider to
use my saddle (within reason) and no bulk or buckle under my leg.

I also burned my horse with the felt lined girth that comes with the
SS. I asked for opinions and finally settled on a string, mohair
cinch. The shortest I could find was a 30" which is a tad long with my
everyday pads but just recently when at a tack store I asked them to
check their catalogs for me. Weaver Leather makes (in the USA) a great
31 strand, stainless steel buckle cinch. I paid $30 for it.

By the way my boy Finn is back on the trail. The muscle strain is
recovering nicely and he is back on turnout and slow work. Thanks to
ti and others that offered therapy suggestions.
