Dear group,
All the discussion occurring lately on the list has served for a
great deal of food for thought. And one thought that occurred to me
recently was that for the most part there has been a huge variety of
opinions, ideas, knowledgeable information, and even reminders that the
right to all of this is god-given. When I first joined the list it was
unfortunately during a brief PMS period of bickering (no offense ladies, I'm
female too). Well, I'm delighted I stuck it out.
I have been privy to a huge wealth of information about horses; I
have learned sooo much. I have gotten a glimpse of what endurance racing
is all about. I have met several wonderful friends in my geographical area
that I would not have gotten to meet who have invited me to go riding
with them this weekend (I can't wait!).
Recently I had a terrible experience with some people who
borrowed my trailer to trailer a horse. The wonderful responses on how
to humanely trailer a horse and all the concern for this horses
well-being have been touching.
So, as we enter the Christmas season let's all remember that even
though we have different opinions about things that's okay because
ultimately everyone here loves horses and cares deeply about their
four-legged friends' well-being.
I know it sounds corny, but I just wanted to say I'm happy to be
a part of it.
