Sorry, still don't like it!!! It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth to
bring money into this sport. It may happen in spite of any of our wishes and
I doubt the Cosequin Challenge will be affected much by our discussion. I
can't help but feel that after a while the comment "so you rode only half a
ride (50 miles)?" will become "how much money did you win?" It is bad enough
we have people who can't see much value in "half a ride" much less people who
will feel that if you're not a "professional (i.e.: running for money" that
you're not really an endurance rider at all.
