A long time ago I had a trotter that would faint and fall back into the jog
cart when you were putting on his overcheck to take him out to the track. The
solution was to start him up and have him moving before fastening the
overcheck. When you're fastening the overcheck on a standardbred, it
temporarily lifts the horses head--I think this may have had to do with
circulation rather than narcolepsy.
Damn horse squashed three bikes before we got him figured out.
