Eee gad!!! My fingers went faster than my brain in my last post.
Please accept my apologies anyone I inadvertently insulted with my comments
about acting prematurely and jumping to conclusions!! Actually, I think
this group realized its mistake in reacting to rumor very quickly and got
the correct info from the source (Valery Kanavy). This led to a broadening
of the discussion to the real issues of how corporate sponsorship and money
can be added to the sport of endurance in ways that help a lot of people and
horses, rather than a very few. I also have to disagree with Tom that we
are giving potential sponsors a "stay away" message though this discussion.
A savy corporation will take note of our concerns in tailoring its approach
to representatives of the sport.

PS I think I'm having a bad e-mail day: apologies also for any messages that
appear more than once, I'm not sure if the problem is sticky fingers or
speedy fingers. Or too much tea or not enough (or too much rain and not
enough riding!!!) l
