I couldn't let this pass me by. Strange as it may seem, calcium is =
calcium in horse or cow and is metabolized the same in each. What the =
tired person (can't remember the name) was trying to say is that if =
enough calcium is being fed to any animal, the parathyroid gland is not =
needed to do its function of releasing calcium from bone tissue. This =
causes the gland to become lazy and "out of shape" from disuse. So when =
a time comes when there is not enough calcium fed in the diet, the gland =
is not able to function as quickly or efficeintly as it should to rlease =
the necessary calcium.Hope that didn't hurt too much.
