Keep in mind other factors such as mineral deficiencies may not be a problem
in their grazing fields, what kind of hay do they feed, etc.  The wheat bran 
standing alone is not the sole culprit - you must look at the whole picture. 
Also, bread is a processed wheat and not the bran husks alone therefore you
wouldn't have the calcium binding factor there.  I don't think I'd want to
feed my horse processed bread.  I would wonder if the processed bread doesn't
leech out some minerals and vitamins.  Interesting, feeding bread to horses.
I'm open minded though . . . any other thoughts?
