I'm a little behind on reading ridecamp so this is a little behind...
We have a Ford F-250 3/4 ton 7.3 liter diesel (with off-road package - I
don't know exactly what that has) but we tow an 8,560 lb goosneck with
FOUR horses and all our camping stuff (and we don't leave ANYTHING at
home!). We live in Colorado and haul over 11,000 ft passes and the darn
thing STILL flies along at 60 mph! IOW, I just don't think you're going
to have a problem! After pulling and backing a large gooseneck, I would
never own a hitch-pull again!
