My new Morab!

OK y'all- now I have a REAL endurance prospect! My 3 year old Morab filly
arrived on Sunday and now that I'm over the shock:> I see that she has real
potential. The driver of the trailer that brought her said that she started
drinking water at the first rest stop and drank about 1/2 bucket at each stop.
She also drank almost immediately when I turned her out in her quarentine
area. A very good sign! She looks like a racehorse and is calm as can be.
Yesterday she had her first massage and although she didn't know why I was
doing all those things she complied willingly. Her sense of humor became
apparent when she helped me open of the bales of shavings for her shed and
then played with the bags, at one point putting one of her front legs inside a
bag and slowly walking with it. I think even my old QH would have
been a little scared by that noisy bag stuck around his leg. SHe is still
immature and has lots to learn and I expect to start her education as soon as
she settles in. We'll be working on a classical dressage foundation and I plan
to pony her on trail rides until she is ready to ride which should be sometime
in late winter, depending on the weather.( Is there a 'No Snow' dance?)
Thanks to everyone who has shared wisdom and knowledge through this list.
