Arabian Fading Syndrome

Some more info about my question re: Arabian Fading Syndrome. I have owned
an 8 yr. old chestnut colored arabian mare (Flight) for approx 3 yrs. She
had lost considerable pigment from the skin around both eyes and on her nose
when I got her. I have tried a number of different remedies prescribed by
various people including two vets but all to no avail. At this point she
has also developed numerous small points where the hairs in her coat have
turned white. A vet that I have recently become aquainted with stated that
she had read an article about "arabian fading syndrome" and she thought that
Flight might possibly have this condition. She did not, however, have any
further info about this. Does anyone out there have any ideas or any
experience with this. Please let me hear from you if you do. Thanks!
