Well, what's common is a T3 test. And that's not so hot. T3/T4 is better, but
really what has to happen is a Thyroid Stimulating Hormone test, where you
ask the thyroid gland to porduce and then monitor the results. This is a
little more complicated, but gets down to the real thing.
A zinc deficiency in the diet can produce hypothyroid symptoms.
