Here in Australia we have stated in our rule book that any rider who is
found to be rude or abusive to any ride official at a affiliated ride may be
suspended from the association for a period as determined by the state
management committee. As you have to be a member of the association to ride
in Australia this is a fair deterrant for most hot heads. This year we have
had to suspend a few people and it is a yukky business all around. But I
think it is necessary if we want to keep that sort of uncivilised behaviour
out of our sport. Any rider has the right to complain, but not to be rude
about it. I guess because you don't have to be a member of AERC you don't
have much control over those sort of riders?
