This, unfortunately, may be an essential part of the cure.
I left out some of the steps that I went through to be cured. Some of
these are:
1. Be flat broke
2. Have the bank take away your credit cards
However, I did find that the cure was permanent, as all that stuff that I
could no longer buy didn't change my relationship with my horse or the
fun I had (it did cut into my ride schedule).
When the funds returned, I stepped up my ride schedule, but found I had
pretty much lost interest in the "stuff" even to the point where I kept
telling myself that I should buy myself a heart-rate monitor, but have
just never gotten around to it.
And now I'm broke again.
Oh well...been there, done that.
