Hi Teddy! I just had a thought - I always wondered about the blanketing. I do
clip my older mare since she works HARD HARD HARD! and I don't have hours to
cool her and her barn mates in the winter, so I clip and blanket just her.
During the winter when the weather is rather static AM to PM, I only remove
the blanket daily to check for buggerboos and to ride or groom or whatever. I
figure, if I left her "coat " on, she wouldn't be taking IT off every AM and
putting it back on at feeding time, so why would I do that with her blanket?
Just a thought.
