Duncan...wet horses from rain ins EXTERNAL wet. Wet horses from sweating is
by the SKIN. Hence, exercise will chill a horse to the bone (such as you and
me) whereas mother nature supplied them with coats the repel external
moisture and keep their internal mechanisms warm
