When are we going to STOP being protectionists and followers???? When are we
going to take responsibility and acknowledge our ability to reason???
FEW if ANY of the substance "prohibited" but AERC really do any harm and do
much good in prolonging the lcomfort and usability of our precious endurance
mounts.
I wholheartly agree with Jim Baldwin's article a month back concerning WHY we
have vets and WHY we have the "substances" to help our horses. HELP is one
thing, DRUGGING is another. After all, what is REALLY going to make a horse
better for 100 miles.
Let those (like Valerie Kanavy and Becky Hart) who do thier homework keep
shining and set examples for the rest of the endurance world. In this sport
there are no real "shortcuts". Too much, too soon and you ruin a horse,
plain and simple. NOTHIN will solve our problems short of education!!!
So much for my soapbox...I hate to start another "discussion", but I am an
objectivist who believes in the human race's ability to reason (if they only
would).
I'm gone for the weekend, everybody..HELPIN other learn about our sport in a
POSITIVE way.
