I personally would rather spend a little bit more than the
battery chargers and get a solar one. I found a very small,
easily portable solar unit made by Fi-Shock, at a local feed
store. It is going strong after 3 years.
At one point, it got knocked over, and one of the posts bent.
I sent it back to be fixed, and they fixed it free, becuase
they said they thought the posts were slightly defective anyway
on that batch.
Oh, I think I paid about $127, not much more than the battery
ones.
I also use it at home, but mostly use it for camping
