Next I want to get some good reins. Its been a long time and in driving we
use leather. Tell me about the types of reins you use and like and some that
aren't so good either so I don't pick the wrong type. I wouldn't like to
thick of reins like rope, but I want something softer then leather reins. I
am thinking on using a halter/bridle combo.
My new horse got here yesterday and he is even nicer than I thought he
was!!! He is very well behaved in all ground manners, shipped really well
and is such a sweety! Nice big bones and substance, perfect conformation
wise and sound as a dime. He is 14.3 and well muscled. You can tell he was
a stud for the first 4 years. He has a good start with his ground manners,
knows whoah and listens to it, ties nicely, everything I could hope for in a
horse that's never been ridden. I am really pleased and I bought him from
an add from this group.
In fact Pat Hampton still has one more horse and a couple fillies left up
there in Idaho. She got layed off a couple of months ago and really needs
to sell them for winter feed money. The other horse is a very nice arabian
that I have video on too. He is already broke and very nice under saddle he
was just out of my price range. Somewhere in the 2500 range. So if anyone
out there is interested Pat is very honest and fair to deal with.
Well gotta go sit in my lawn chair and watch my new horse:}!
