Need some info asap. Have wonderful performance gelding age 14. All oof
the sudden noticing something unusual, at least for me..Remember all p&r's
excellant, nno flaring nostrils, no reaching or gasping for breathe. The
last two training rides(short 6 and 10 milers) we come in, I dismount, check
heart monitor(back to 38-42 almost at dismount, check respiration which is
fine, HOWEVER I have noticed him to be very heavy breathing(or pulling)
watching his flanks there is a lot of pulling(for lack of a better
word)Please remember his respiration count is fine, he's not thumping, but
something has changed...eats, drinks, everything is fine except this heavy
pulling(breathing) I don't know if I am making any sense, but you
knowledgeable distance riders must know hwat I am seeing....any help most
appreciated...don't want to get scared but worried of COPD or broken wind?
Yes, I have called my vet....still waiting...thanks a lot...
