generators

We just purchased a used trailer with living quarters and wow, do we
love it. In Vermont, having a heater is just such luxury. However,
we have found that the battery lasts 1 1/2 nights when we have the
heat on. What a bummer to be so warm and toasty only to have to
realize that the "party is over" halfway through the night. An
on-board generator has been quoted as lots of $$$, so we are
considering a portable generator that can recharge the battery in 1-2
hours every day. What I need to know is what size generator is
needed for this purpose and how well does it work??? We do not have
A/C, but do have a fan. Everything else is gas. We do have a
converter which charges the battery whenever we are plugged in. I
have looked at and priced several generators and came to the
conclusion that I need some real life experiences here. You can
