I've both bought and sold animals on the basis of pictures, pedigree and
phone conversations. In general I want to see the animal myself or have a
trusted vet do a pre-purchase (more on that topic in the other thread)
but in some cases I trust the person selling and their description of the
animals. I've not been burned on purchases and my long distance customers
have been really happy. In fact, one of them said that I was overly
conservative and the animal I sold them was better than I described.
<smile> I wouldn't do it with someone I didn't know unless I knew the
animal involved from before that person owned them.
