Susan, It was scary to read about the poor care your two horses received
while on trial before purchase. Would it be possible in your pre-purchase 30
day trial contract to have the buyer sign off (perhaps on a vet certificate)
as to the fact that the horse is leaving your care healthy, sound and in
condition, along with the clause that permits you to "visit" to check on how
the horse is being cared for? Maybe you already do this. Perhaps in this
way, the less than caring person who may be trying out your horse would be
more inclined, legally and morally, to give top care to horse.
