Hi People!
Sorry, that I am so late in reading the news and perhaps my 2 cents worth is
not worth 2
cents, but here I go. As a service manager, trucker and all around truck
person, I feel the
value of 4X4 is mostly a factor of where you live, what you tow, and how
often you tow.
Since I live in the mountains of Central Penna, we need 4X4 to get anywhere
most of the winter ( at least the last few years.) I also counted in one year
I attended 24 distance rides and needed 4X4 to get out 20 times. Now I do
pull a 42 foot gooseneck with highway treads ( to cut noise and it helps
fuel economy)- this contributes to my need
since the tires are more apt to fill up with mud. If you only attend a few
events a year the
extra investment may not be worth the money. It may not pay if you live where
it rarely snows, rains or otherwise makes travel challenging. Happy motoring
and good luck to all.
