Your post about the horse getting it's hoof caught was interesting but you
didn't give the circumstances. Did you leave the horse unattended with the
collar? My impression of using the collar is only to use it when I'm making
the transition between halter and bridle. Which means that it's on very
briefly and the horse is not left alone.
It seems to me that leaving the collar on the horse in the pasture is no
different than leaving a halter on - don't do it! Too many things can
happen, too quickly.
