"The Arabian Horse Assoc. of Massachusetts and the Northeast Morab
Horse CLub have joined forces to offer a ride to commemorate the rides
("Endurance Tests") organized by the US Remount Service after WWI. The US
Remount Service Memorial All Breed Competitive Trail Ride is a Local Club
Ride sanctioned by IAHA. It is scheduled for Sunday October 5, 1996, based
at Mount Toby Stables, Leverett, Massachusetts."
"This Memorial Ride will be conducted under IAHA rules. The speed
will be between 4 and 7 mph, depending upon conditions, and will be set by
the judge at the beginning of the ride. There will be a minimum of 3 Vet/P&R
checks during the ride. Two checks will involve 10 minute holds. The third
will be a lunch break of 20 minutes."
