Just had to touch on this - those cold water boots are really wonderful, and
using cold water is not as wasteful as you think. Except in dire emergencies,
I don't plan on drinking the icy water in my ice chest, and so we drain about
2/3 of it into the bucket with the boots and some water in it. Now we have
VERY cold water, and none of it wa intended for human or equine consumption.
We have done this for severl years.
