Hi, sorry for the delay in replying to a posting on 15th about numbers. In
the UK we to have changing weather conditions and we all wear a number bib,
granted some designs are better than others. As to it getting covered if
you are riding it is the responsiblity of the rider to ensure that each
checkpoint person have there number- galloping past shouting 20 is not
enough. At some rides different distances where different colours eg 100
miles black numbers white background, others black numbers yellow background.
As to what happens if horse and rider get sepearated each horse has a label
tied to the saddle with the phone number and venue of the start also may be
riders number on the other side.
