Ortho-Flex sells a nylon halter bridle with leather on one side and wetsuit
material on the other. The nylon makes it very strong and the wetsuit material
is against the horse's skin so it is very comfortable. The edges are rolled
so there are no sharp edges.
The downside is they are very expensive. I think I paid $120 and that was with
a considerable discount because I was buying a saddle too. The leather
requires some amount of upkeep, but not as much as a full leather bridle.
