I've had trouble with feet *and* tying up. So obviously
I had to do something. And I've done lots of somethings. The
biggest mistake I probably made was trying to feed
Magnum horse like a race horse... (Just FYI)
I recently (under threats from my farrier ;-) started him on
Dynamite... for his feet. I mean, it's doing *amzaing* things
for Jessie the TB's feet. So, OK. I give up. I've put Magnum
horse on it.
My question to you all out there is: Why does Dynamite
have such high amounts of Vitamin A in it? Not Beta Carotine,
210,000 IU's of vitamin A. Like people, isn't Vit A a fat
soluable vitamin in horses too?
There's a story about some people up in the artic who were
lost and ran out of food. Finally, they found and shot a Polar
Bear. Their mistake was to decide to eat the liver first.
Apparently Polar Bear livers are exceedingly high in vit. A.
At least one of them died of vit. A poisoning.
OK, horses are a *lot* bigger. But are they supsceptable at
all? How much?
I'll keep you all posted on how Magnum horse's feet do.

hot horse on something called 'dynamite'.
