Years ago, I attended a seminar with Dr. Kerry Ridgeway, who was asked about feeding supplements in the absence of known deficiencies. His answer: Take all the money you spend on supplements and spend it on riding lessons. Youšll be doing your horse a lot more good.
I frankly thought that was excellent advice, and have taken it. Maybe because my horse wonšt eat anything with supplements in it! -- Seriously, we donšt use them, and have had no problems. But riding lessons can really help! (<g>)
