Yeh,Diane, I agree regarding how one should not look down on a rider because
he or she is doing limited distance. I'm a 50 miler as a rule but have done
many 25 milers when snow has been on the ground and I couldn't get out like I
wanted, sometimes for conditioning or starting a green horse. I have two kids
and my priorities does not allow me the time to condition for 100 milers and
at times not even 50 miles. I don"t think I'm better than a 25 miler and I
don"t think 100 milers are better than me!!!I'd rather see a horse do a 25
miler and come in looking good than 50 miles totally exhausted. I wish there
were 25 milers when I started endurance, it's nice having that choice. There
are many a time when I had more respect for limited rider than the 100 milers
because they chose to ride within their horses ability. IT'S NOT THE DISTANCE
THAT'S IMPORTANT BUT HOW WELL YOU RIDE THE DISTANCE. Linda and El Sareei.
