Unfortunately, around here, the wind will either rip down pie plates
or turn them about so you can't tell where you were supposed to be
going.
I was on a ride recently where for the week prior to the ride we had
80 mph winds. Every time ride management tried to put up ribbons,
they were ripped down by the wind. She ended up going down the trail
with an orange spray can. We got to see the rare Colorado orange
weeds, orange spotted telephone poles, speckeled orange rocks, etc.
Trail was easy to follow - mostly.
