I forgot to mention the Thumps which starts with the left flank panting and then
both flanks - it looks a bit like the hiccoughs and must be treated immediately
with electrolytes and calcium and even a drip if the horse will not drink.

Would anyone want to risk this by holding a nostril to fool the vet.???
