So... As we were doing a base set of x-rays on the Magnum horse's
old race injury, my vet asked if Endurance was going to be more than
just a demonstration sport this year at the Olympics.  What???
Endurance at the Olympics?  I had no idea...  so I mumbled about
how 4 years ago I didn't even have a horse at all and didn't know
anything... and I would Ask All My Friends Out There in the Big
Electronic Paddock!  :)
What's the history?  I know there is a World Championship going on
in Kansas, but how about a connection with the Olympics?  Was
Endurance a demonstration sport 4 years ago? Tell us all about it!
Is there any push to get it into the equestrian events?  ???
Dr. Mike will be heading to the Olympics.  He works with 3 Day
Eventing.  He's a great friend and looked a bit taken back that
we only started back into endurance last year... of course I 
quickly explained that having such a great electronic resource
helps a lot.  Perhaps we need to get him a Mac and modem and...

aside: ... we did a series of x-rays using a portable machine out
in an area that was paved between a cinderblock building and old
wooden fence.  Magnum was so nervous he was actually dripping a
bit of urine.  It took me a minute to figure out what could be
affecting him so strongly... and then I got it.  Auction.  He
thought I was taking him to the auction!  It was enough to break 
your heart...
