[37842] WED 03/27/96 16:26 FROM hickst@puzzler.nichols.com "Tina Hicks":
[endurance] riding tights; 37 LINES

I finally got around to ordering a pair of riding tights from sport tack. I
am very tall and pretty thin so I have never, in my life, been able to get
pants (riding or otherwise) long enough. Well, I explained my plight to
Sportack and for a small fee :-> they will customize the tights so they
*really* fit. Being skeptical after many years of "high-water britches" I
gave her my measurements and waited....for 3 weeks!!!

They finally arrived, they fit *beautiful*, are comfortable, are indeed
long enough AND Sportack included a 10% discount coupon since I had to wait
so long. I will definitely be ordering more from them.

So...if you've been eyeing those tights but can't make up your mind and
don't mind spending a few $$$, call them - the tights are well worth it.

Tina (ready to get a really *wild* pair now that I know they fit well)
Tony (can you make my leg wrap a little more wild?)

--------------
Tina, it's hard to imagine anyone any taller or thinner than me,
(5'11 3/4") and weight between 120 to 130. But I will second
the plug for Sportack and their tights.

About 3 years ago I bought a pair of the carousel nylon/lycra
padded tights. They are one of the few designers of equestrian
clothes that you can buy in small, reg. or tall LENGTHS! As
well as sizes (s,m,l) I LOVED them. My only mistake was buying
them in beige, since I later discovered in photos I looked like
I was naked from the waist down!!

These tights are really comfortable and wear extremely well. I
get about 2-3 years out of a pair, and we do a lot of riding
through buckbrush. I have never come back from a ride with any
chafing.
