I have an AT&T cellular phone. Unfortunately, I have to detach the antenna to
fit it in my fanny pack. Next time, I would get one with the retractable
antenna. I originally got it because I ride alone *a lot* (of course), and my
husband was worried about what would happen if Miss Kitty (Appy, of course)
dumped me in the middle of nowhere. I would call home. I'm pretty aware by
now where most roads cross the power lines trails I usually ride. We also use
it when we're away to call home & check up on the kids. I haven't had the
opportunity to use it at a ride yet (got it late last fall), but I would see if
there was a "home number" I could carry. Just have to make sure to keep the
phone charged!
