Has anyone tried the gel pads that are used in hospital operating rooms for
positioning patients. They come in full length that cover the OR table as
well as all sorts of styles. Can be purchased through medical supply houses
or through the purchasing department of your hospital. I am wondering if
they are
too hot because of being in plastic? I suspect they would be fabulous or
horrible. We position patients for 18 and 20 hrs surgery and they have no
pressure sores so I thought maybe they would be good as saddle pads. I have
used the saddle pads with gel inserts but the hospital gel pads are thicker
and softer. But they are EXPENSIVE so would like others experience if they
have been used.
