Re GoreTex, I agree withTruman Prevatt, pricey but lasts and does the
job. I used my knee-length coat in Ireland in sleet in August! and in the heat here.
Horse sheets are expensive but can be bought with snap-on leg straps and
they have a small belly belt. These sheets are long on the sides and can
be used over tack waiting or later, to vet in. The
trick seems obvious with any rain sheet - put it on before it
starts really raining!
