It is with a great deal of regret that we must cancel the 3/31/96 edition
of the Bucks County 50 in Eastern PA. Our weather conditions have made
the trails soupy at best, with a considerable amount of run-off damage
that cannot be repaired in time for the competition. We cannot even get
"bigger" rigs up to the main section of the park at this time.

Even if we had 5 weeks of warm, dry weather the swampy nature & poor
drainage of this area would make holding our ride a major challenge. I
must take into account not only the safety of horses and riders but also
keepsafing the condition of our precious trails so that they will be
available for all who wish to use them throughout the season.

Please, those of you in the East, pass the word to fellow endurance
riders.

We will substitute a 25 mile CTR on 6/17/96 which will be ECTRA
sanctioned. And of course we will have our Bucks County Fall Festival 50
on 9/15/96.

My sincere apologies to those of you who had hoped for an early spring
start.
