You will hear both sides of the story. There are pros and cons to both.
We have three horse trailers, a 2 horse, a 4 horse side by side, and a 4
horse slant. By far, the worst for injuries is the 2 horse. We had a
horse step on himself and injure his leg in the slant, and no injuries in
the inline. We've had horses jump out the emergency door in a two horse,
jump out the BACK in a 4 horse, you name it, they've done it. One horse
lays down in the two horse, he gets so disoriented. We found it depends on
the individual horse. Some (our stallions) will ride in anything, and
others with get hurt in anything.
Maybe someone "out there" has seen some real research, but everyone has an opinion!
