The inserts are easy to change. The studded inserts are great on ice,
blacktop--any slippery surface. We have yet to completely wear out any
inserts so I don't have a feel for how long an average set might last. I
suspect it depends on conditions.
But the best part is how it affects your horse's way of going. Mr. T has
back problems and residual effects from a blown suspensory. Now he
floats down the road with such confidence and ease that it is a sheer joy
to watch. I can actually see his back moving with genuine freedom. Miss B
didn't have any problems but she seems to like the
shoes as well. Kasey just got his new set and he is going through the
inital cocky stage (hey, Ma, I can really fly on this ice, hang on!).
kasey had a mild case of road founder from the pounding at the Groundhog
75 and we expect these shoes to make a real difference.
While the claims to x% shock absorption may be exaggerated, I believe
that the product does work way beyond my expectations. I don't usually
endorse things, but Slypner's get two thumbs up (and an elevated Arab tail).
