Our approach is to get in a few good competitive/endurance rides early and
late in the season, leaving mid-summer to focus on dressage shows.
I also agree that any more than 50 in a day, needs more focus on the trail
training, and would have to compromise on the dressage, so I keep it to 50
miles/day.
We have been successful, as my "Buddy" & I are receiving the New England
Morgan Regional Awards in two Divisions - Training Level &
Competitive/Endurance Trail at the banquet Jan. 27th.
96', we're off to 1st Level and it would be a dream to do as well in both.
