The best thing to do is LIVE WITH ONE and be real nice to him --
especially if you have more than one of the beasties(they need shoes
more often than Kids!!!!!!). Seriously -- one of the best things you
can do is to educate yourself and spend a lot of time watching how
your horse puts it's feet on the ground at various gates. Then most
farriers appreciate and will work with any extra information about how
your horse moves since he doesn't see them but once a month or less.
