I used 4 easy boots on Magnum last spring when
his feet got so torn up from losing shoes all
winter (before Freddie came and patched them
with miracle gl..., er, Acrylic). Once I got
the hang of it, they worked pretty good.
It takes patience and finesse to get them
on and off right. Magnum has very sensitive
feet and hates to be barefoot. They worked
well for the couple weeks I used them.

To put them on, push the toe deep into the boot
and then work the heal back and forth until
it slips on. That's the easy part. Use those
metal grips deep and strain that cable. I like
the idea of spray painting them orange!

They come off if they get wet or muddy. But
if they stay dry they stay on. Use the foam
to keep them dry inside and attached.

To get them off, take a flat screw driver and
GENTLY work the SIDES (and teeth) away from
the hoof wall. Finesse... forcing will not
work at all. DO NOT try to pry the heal off
with the screwdriver. Don't get it anywhere
near the frog. Work them around and side to
side and they WILL gently pop off.

The best part was Magnum trying desperately
not to step on them...
