I agree that the log book requirement would be a bit much, but nice for a
personal thing. The biggest problem is subjectivity. There is already
quite a bit of that from one ride to the next, why add to it. I am, or
should be, the best person to keep from overdoing it with my horse. We
all make mistakes, including vets, and even the best log book can't keep
a horse from crashing if conditions are right. I realize that some of
the pointers from the log book would keep a few people out of
circulation, but is it worth it? Those same people are going to ruin a
horse no matter what they do, even trail riding with friends. Just my 2
cents.
