There's lots of talk about horses confirmation changing... I'm
totally discouraged, because what fits my mare in the summer does't
fit at all in the winter. I'm in the market for a new saddle, but
I'm not sure I want to look during the winter months since she
will just change again come spring. I can't afford a different
saddle for all seasons, but I'm barely able to ride my mare now.
Does any one have any suggestions for me? I'm leery of custom
saddles... I've done that and after sending the saddle back twice
for adjustments, and a very sore horse I finally got my money back
(but lost over $100.00 freight). A lot of you suggest different
saddle makers, but what do they guaranty? FYI my mare's back is
much wider, and flatter in the summer months. In the winter she
gets narrow, and inverted.
Any suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated.

P.S. - Val, I'm even having problems with my trusty western
saddle... Ugh!!
