I have had miraculous results with Flex free and Adequan.
I started feeding my 22 yr old severely 3 leg lame mare
flexfree and it helped her improve. When I was not satisfied, I
started her on Adequan. After the very FIRST shot she went from
a slow moving, rarely trotting "old-acting" mare to a "prancy"
filly. Really, I had NEVER seen her buck and after the third
shot in the series-- there she was-- out in the pasture
galloping and bucking happily like a young mare. Her whole
attitude has improved.
Now, she is only a broodmare due to the
severity of the original old stifle injury (and I have radiographs,
etc but surgery would not help her very much.)
I suggest a thorough review of a horses condition by qual.
vets. (My mare was eval. at CSU and they recommended the Flex
free/ or Adequan)
She does appear sound as she prances, trots and plays in the
pasture-- my conscience is considerably eased. Since she is a
tremendous mare I will treasure her next foals and feel good
that she will now be able to play with them.
The only problem is-- Adequan is about $30/shot !
