Ann,
I don't know. My experience with rubber mats is that they tear. We took a
new trailer we had made and had them put matching plywood on the BOTH
sides. It is a four horse slant, with a rear tack. We made the first
stall solid metal all the way down on the divider because, if you're not
carting four horses, it makes a great feed or potty room! I put matting
(actually it is stuff I bought from the building supply..grey ribbed
carpet..very heavy.. about 2 1/2 feet wide) and put it on the very front
and around the tack compartment in the back. Nowhere can the horse paw,
fall on, kick, the sides! The only mistake we made is not doing the back
door! We spent almost three weeks with two stallions out west this summer,
and all held up well. I've seen trailers done nicely on the sides with a
light mat.
Hope this helps.
